Audience interculturalism and the law against Holocaust denial, reactions (1) Write
"We questionable at infinity on the usefulness of such legislation, but from the moment it was adopted, any setback, any complacency is the ignominy. It is not just an insult to the Jewish community, but an irreparable injury to the necessary memory of the people. "(Marc Uyttendaele , columnist and lawyer)
Great satisfaction of Edward Delruelle , Director of the Centre for Equal Opportunities:
"Despite these criticisms, and other minor disagreements I do not have room to explain here, I agree with the majority of recommendations are included in this report. "(Audience Interculturality, Final Report, November 2010, p. 122)"
Review:
"The report of Audience interculturalism promotes the disappearance of the law against Holocaust denial of" an explicit reference to the genocide committed by the German Nazi regime during World War II, to allow judges to apply to other genocides. Reacting to this proposal, Jewish organizations, Rwandan and Armenian Coordinating Committee of Jewish Organizations in Belgium (CCOJB) Ibuka, Belgium and the Committee of Armenians in Belgium casually refer instead the federal government and the House to stop the resurgence of Holocaust denial by completing Section 1 of the Act of 23 March 1995 as follows "shall be punished with imprisonment from eight days to one year and a fine of 26 to 5000 francs anyone in any of the circumstances listed in Article 444 of the Penal Code denies, grossly minimizes, approves or seeks to justify the genocide committed by the German Nazi regime during World War II, the plan Young Turk Ottoman during the first world war and the Rwandan Hutu Power from April to July 1994.
